April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. In seventh grade she began playing guitar and piano lessons, sparking her passion for music writing. April Lockhart composed her very first song, Different at age of twelve. At the age of 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing songs and honed her music skills. Then she began to take journeys to write with her father, who lived in NY as well as LA. She also started to write about additional topics that were related to of her peers who are dealing with issues such as social pressure and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take my Hand. Lockhart has a fan base of her own and works as a lifestyle blogger at the renowned Ilia clean beauty brand. Yes, she was born with no left hand. It creates her unique. But this isn't the only unique thing about her. Lockhart's profile on Instagram doesn't conceal her handicap, but it doesn't just focus on her disability. What message is it trying to convey? The message? We each contain multitudes, that the identities we have and our physical bodies are not all that they seem. We don't want to allow that to be the only thing that defines me. I don't want to become a person who is a disability-related influencer who only talks about since there are many other aspects to me Lockhart shares her thoughts via video from her home in Nashville. And it doesn't affect my daily life. I conduct everything normally and I've found my own way to adjust to things. Because it is also part of me personally, it's something that's worthy of discussion. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken will be one that lasts for a long time, and she is an inspiration on this front. She admits that she's been through phases with her body and sometimes being unsure about wearing certain types of clothing which accentuated the arms of her. Now, though she dons whatever she wants and posts photos in those outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. It's a journey is the one thing I'm not aware of when you will arrive, in self-love. This is a process, and I'm not convinced that you will ever arrive. The idea of having people with you who have a sense of who you are and understand your emotions is important since they'll be those that remind you of what are you concerned about?
